Every good golf
swing requires you to use your entire body. Making a full turn
on the backswing with you hips and shoulders is a must. Failure
to do so results in a weak swing generated by your arms.
A
quick way to see if you are making the proper turn is to place
your hands on your hips and turn back or to the right. Your
head will now be looking over your left shoulder. If you have
turned correctly, you will feel the rotation of your spine.
Once in this position notice that your back is now facing the
target or direction you want your golf ball to go. Make sure
your feel the weight transfer to the inside of your right foot.
This is a key element to properly transferring the weight back
to the left side.
Now
turn your entire body to the left side or follow thru. As you
produce this follow thru you will feel the weight on the inside
of right foot pushing forward. This motion allows the body to
turn freely finishing with your head, belly button, chest facing
the target and your weight now in balanced to your left side.
If
you continue to check and practice this full turn, you will
improve your swing and Turn on the Power to your game! |
